You can give a try Oyako Don at Waraku Japanese Restaurant (ala-carte) and Ikoi Japanese Restaurant (buffet). I am a fan of Oyako Don and always head to Hisatomo Family Restaurant (Bugis) almost 10 years ago for it but about 5 years back they have closed down due to poor business.

fp: i think most people just don't care/have average palates? haha. the crazy thing is, some people think it's great. i just went today, to the airport branch sakae for dinner. last minute dinner so no choice. sending ppl off. anyways, it just further fuelled my dislike for the place. my stomach doesn't feel very good this moment. lol.

seriously, don't get me started on sakae. >_< i totally agree with you. sakae.... is NOT FOOD. i can't believe they call it sushi. the Japanese tourists must be HORRIFIED. haha. imho, sushi tei is just a way better place to go than sakae for conveyor belt stuff. :)
